seldovia Posted April 4, 2022 #1 Share Posted April 4, 2022 Traveling 5/15 on Princess Discovery out of Seattle. I can't find consistent (or existent) testing rules that include information on the stop in Victoria. Embarkation sounds sort of clear with fully vaccinated and one of two covid tests before departure. But Canada seems to require one day test as well as the embarkation tests. Still can't find much about disembarkation except Princess says there is testing at exit from port terminal (after customs) or on board with symptoms (free). Nothing about required tests on reentry to US. Anyone with access to more information on these items?
Rare mom says Posted April 4, 2022 #2 Share Posted April 4, 2022 (edited) As of April 1 you don't need a Covid test to enter Canada, by air, land, or sea. US closed loop cruises don't require a test for return to port. The Disembarkation ( or on board) tests are for those pax who require a test to fly home to their country or who are doing B2B or S2S cruises. Rare Ferry_Watcher Posted April 4, 2022 #4 Share Posted April 4, 2022 There is no testing of the typical disembarking passengers in Seattle (i.e., leaving the ship and heading home). There may be a testing option for those passengers that will be boarding an international flight immediately after the cruise, but no testing required for passengers ending their cruise in Seattle. FYI, there was no testing for disembarking passengers in Seattle last season (2021) when Covid was a bigger problem.
