We booked our next cruise while on board Harmony last week. I'm second guessing our room choice. We booked an ocean view room mid ship deck 4. I'm looking at ocean view rooms on deck 7 or 8 instead. I'm concerned about foot/noise traffic since it's not far from the main areas (guest services, lobby bar, etc), as well as engine noise. On deck 4 forward on Harmony I was hearing and feeling the engine. My concern with deck 7 or 8 ocean view is feeling the wave action. We've been far forward before and that was an issue. Does anyone have any advice concerning these rooms? 

 

I'm all for booking a balcony but hubby would like to save the $1000 for other travel expenses. Will we be sorry we didn't book a balcony with traveling to Iceland and Ireland? Is it a must for that itinerary?

No, you'll be fine in an OV.

I've been in an OV right off the centrum twice and had no problems with noise.

We agree with everyone else since we never had a problem. Liked that deck and felt it was a good location close to a lot of things.
