SummmerInKefalonia Posted April 9, 2022 #1 Share Posted April 9, 2022 (edited) It seems from the port registries in Dubrovnik, Gibraltar & Leixoes that Gem is getting a redeployment in 2023. In Dubrovnik it is registered in 6/5 (from Kotor to Trieste) and 27/5 & 24/6 (from Kotor to Corfu). In Gibraltar it is registered in 2/9. In Leixoes it is registered in 5/9 (from Lisboa to Gijon). Cruise Wonderland Posted April 12, 2022 #2 Share Posted April 12, 2022 What was the original deployment please? I did not pay attention to it before. I saw that the current itinerary of 7-night Trieste roundtrip already shows Dubrovnik on 6/5, 27/5, 24/6. Gibraltar and Leixoes are not on the current September cruise yet. If the port registries are correct, then the ship would leave Eastern Mediterranean in late August.

Venice, Kotor, Corfu, Santorini, Mykonos, Argostoli, Dubrovnik, Venice. As it happened this year, Argostoli was gonna be skipped (it were already appear in Dubrovnik that the ship would be coming from Mykonos instead of us). Dubrovnik has a stupid rule of required ships to stay at least 8 hours in port and mega ships 12 hours. That's why we got removed this year. Also Trieste was added instead of Venice for the well known reasons. Well it seems all these changes affect this year bookings and they are changing the itineraries for 2023. Also a possibility is that they were bringing Norwegian Getaway (schedule for the Baltics again in 2023). And they are giving Gem a new deployment. SummmerInKefalonia Posted May 2, 2022 Author #4 Share Posted May 2, 2022 (edited) Gem's 2023 summer cruises were removed from the official website. As well as Pearl's 2024 ones. Did anyone received any mail about changes? Edited May 2, 2022 by SummmerInKefalonia

Not really a stupid rule, the ships dock north of the city. All of the site seeing at least 30 minutes away. The old city is where most people go and it takes a while to go thru there. Your lucky to make it in 6 hours
