The Odyssey on the Odyssey of the Seas

Recommended Posts

@crewsweeper - missed you by about 40 minutes at Starbucks yesterday - was our meeting location for guide also! Agree w/ Effectors - great, but so loud. Luckily I had packed earplugs -a great tip posted by someone previously.

We did Windjammer for dessert one evening,  and ran into none other than the Captain himself!

And so it ends!

Off the ship@7:35, had to wait to be allowed into baggage claim as they were behind. Found bags right away then waited 10 minutes until we could snag a porter. But out of parking lot around 8:10.

Then a long day behind the wheel as we rumbled across Alligator Alley to see niece in Ft Myers. Then up 75 to 10 and home again.

Overall impressions- Ship is smaller than we thought. But lots of activities and didn't have an over crowded feel. Except Solarium where chair hogs ruled all day from before 8AM.

Shows were good if you pay more attention to the technology and forget any story line and wear ear plugs .

Food was food. Order right, get a good meal. Order wrong and it's either way more than you can eat, or you only eat half .

Gym was great. Dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells, machines, ellipticals, bikes treads, and 2 relatively new Concept 2rowers with clean fans. I did upgrade the firmware as it was 2 versions behind. But both ErgData and Krew we're able to work and upload my workouts to my logbook.

Cabin steward, Wendell, was fantastic.

No issues in cabin.

Schooner Bar was go to

Loved Players, though. Boleros was wonderful for good music and Caipirinhas.

Loved Two 70 as a venue. And great place to sit and watch the wake and sea.

Good cruise all around. But doubting we'll be back anytime soon.

Next 2RCCL cruises are on the Wonder.

Hopefully by then we'll have more info and itineraries for Icon and Utopia.
