Specialty Dining Cancellation Policy

I plan to book Eden before our upcoming cruise on Beyond. What is the refund policy to change or cancel? I will be using my credit card not OBC. I cannot find this info anywhere on the Celebrity site. Also, does specialty dining ever go on sale? We are not getting a package, we just want one or two nights.

No experience on E-class, but on M and S-class, you can for sure cancel a day in advance and get a refund. And on a M-class I once cancelled and rebooked Tuscan Grille about 8 hours prior to the original reservation - no problem.

On Apex, the reservation card noted that anything not cancelled before 24 hours will incur a 25% charge.

This is correct, just off ship yesterday.  Eden, by the way, was wonderful.

I think the simplest answer to this is that the it depends on the cruise, the restaurant, and even the night of the cruise.  If the specialty restaurants are busy, then there is no need for Celebrity to put them on sale to fill them up.  On the other hand, on my upcoming cruise (M class, not E Class), they are offering a 30% off deal in the Tuscan Grill for the first night and the cruise is 6 months out, but no deals for Le Petit Chef.

I've gotten deals and offers for deals for first night reservations very often. I've been offered deals sitting at the Martini Bar waiting to go into dinner.  I've also had success talking to my MDR waiter.  Sometimes, they know people in the restaurants and can get you a discount. But, it all depends on how many reservations they have.  And this can depend on the day of the cruise, how popular the restaurant is, and the time you are looking for.

For example, if your cruise has an overnight or is leaving a port late, the reservations may be light and they will be looking to sell.  On the other hand, there are some nights (sea days in particular)  that tend to draw a crowd and rarely go on sale.

In sum,  yes, there are ways to get deals, but it requires flexibility and a willingness to change plans. But if a specialty has a lot of room, they will be out selling it.
