  1. Can anybody speak to how to reserve services at the GSC spa (I presume that gets you into Silver Cove area?), what the pricing of those is, and how your experience there was? I haven't seen any info online and very little on the boards about this.
  2. Take the time to pre-order the day prior and you'll have much better options in the dining room. You can also pre-order day prior for specialty restaurants (even if you're dining in the MDR).
  3. My wife is Gluten-free and this is the key to the best dining experience for your son. It takes a few minutes, but he'll have much wider range of options if you pre-order (so they can prep the special meal in advance).
  4. Just off the Escape, and this is the key to a better dining experience. Try not to forget to order in advance (whether for MDR or specialty), or your choices will be dramatically reduced.
  5. To use the internet, yes - log in and log out. BUT... important to know that you can imessage (Apple devices) without logging on, just be being connected to the ship's wifi. This is for text only, you cannot send photos this way.
  6. You are correct, because I remember some Yucca Fries and some guava pastries.
  7. Margaritaville used to offer a free breakfast in the morning, I suspect this may have been what the OP is thinking about.
  8. To clarify, if you want the Starbucks and waters and higher-end spirits included, you need to upgrade to the Premium PLUS package.
  9. You should be able to adjust the bid by dragging the "slider" to the left or right to lower or increase the bid. If it says minimum $100 but the slider only goes as low as $175, then I'd guess the email had an error in it. Don't forget you'll pay twice your bid (it is per person for the 1st two passengers in the cabin).
  10. It's hard to tell the way it is formatted, but that is the couple massage price for 50 minutes. the individual 50 minute Swedish is $179.
  11. There is absolutely an elevator connecting haven lounge, restaurant, sundecks.
  12. In addition to cabin steward being able to supply a topper as noted above, my teenage son used the sofa/bed several times in the past without complaints. It wasn't like a cheap, saggy rollaway bed.
  13. Last time we were on bottled water included on Premium Plus was Aqua Panna and San Pellegrino, plus Vitamin Water (or something like it) and Biosteel Sports Drinks.
  14. Off the Solstice a couple of weeks ago, was in a sky suite. Luminae food & service was very good, sommelier was just OK. Didn't find Michael's Club location all that useful, was spoiled by Apex Retreat last April. Other than having a better sommelier on Apex, Luminae experience was not "downgraded" in any way. Retreat is definitely a step up on Edge class due to location of the lounge and the Retreat sundeck (compared to Solstice class).
  15. You're correct - the sky is falling on the Celebrity boards too! We just returned from a week on the Solstice and the news of their demise is greatly exaggerated. Some cutback in evening buffet offerings, but otherwise much as we've always remembered. All to say people will complain much more loudly than they'll give praise... so go in with a good attitude and decide for yourself.
  16. This is what my DW takes in case of rough seas: Gin Gin chews and the pressure wrist bands. She'll also drink some ginger beer (non-alcoholic) or ginger ale. For smaller boats like a catamaran, she'll take sometimes Bonine also.
  17. @devinelaw Would love to see photos of wine by the glass lists (specifically reds, but interested in all) from Cellar Masters and MDR if you have the chance. Thanks.
  18. The answer is BOTH. Tell Celebrity in advance (have it noted on your reservation) so they can provision the right amounts of GF breads, pasta, etc. AND... Tell the waitstaff - who will likely ask you first seating if any allergies. The menus and ID cards at the buffet are also very helpful. We are just off the Solstice and the waiter would bring the next day's menu(s) for my GF wife to review and pre-order so they could prep accordingly.
  19. Had the Cioppino at Ocean Blue on the Escape last February, it definitely looked and tasted like it should (good rich flavor with a little bit of a bite). It looked nothing like the "rubber-band soup" picture above (which doesn't even look like there is tomato in the base -- it looks more like an almost clear broth). It was full of shrimp, clams, scallops, mussels, etc.
  20. Both the lobster Murano and a strawberry dessert (like a crepe filled with ice cream and covered with warm strawberries) are prepared and flambeed at tableside, so provides a nice upscale / special ambiance.
  21. Are you sailing on the Getaway? Maybe it was some special offer for that ship?
  22. Thanks CruiseGirl, this appears to be a case where I was imagining it would be harder than it really is! (Keeping my fingers crossed it still works like this 😉 )
  23. A group of us (4 cabins, 2 passengers per cabin) would like to make a group reservation at Teppanyaki. We have the 2 free-at-sea meals and would each like to use one of those meals on this if possible. How could we do that and still have 8 seated together at the same time? Is this possible?
  24. The time really doesn't mean anything, it's just the way they sell the passes. You can come and go as you please when the spa is open, using all the available rooms/facilities, without any regard for what "time" your pass was sold for.
