  1. As others have said, you can certainly decline the beverage package if you don't drink. I'd recommend taking the specialty dinners from a pure value and variety standpoint.
  2. This. You can sign the waiver for beer/wine for the 18+, but they have to pay by the drink.
  3. My DW is gluten-free, and she was well-accommodated by both Fine Cut and Eden on Apex. We've also had very good luck with GF choices in both Blu and Luminae.
  4. This is correct. The original menu on the Edge had much more limited choices. We thoroughly enjoyed Eden on Apex in April. Excellent food and service. Some tables are placed so that you almost get the "show kitchen" effect as you can watch prep & cooking.
  5. Definitely got it for $199/couple for 7-nights on Apex this past April, but prices have probably gone up as ship occupancy does the same. For Solstice, is $179/person for 7-nights for January 2023.
  6. Regarding the Zacapa Old Fashioned: The bitters go in the liquids before stirring, the dark chocolate gets shaved onto the finished drink before serving. And the orange peel of course...
  7. Did this on Celebrity Apex in April with a passport that expired in August, no issues.
  8. Hmmmmm... "other guests have made higher offers" - this would be true if 1 person bid higher than you. And then there is the little issue of how many cabins are available for upgrade. There could be 10 cabins available, and you could have the second-highest upgrade bid, and the statement above would still be true! I agree, book what you need, bid what you are willing to pay for what you'd like to splurge on, and enjoy the results either way.
  9. From NCL's website: Exclusive Club Balcony Suite Amenities Option to pre-book onboard entertainment and dining as early as 125 days prior to sailing Complimentary treats delivered to your stateroom Complimentary bottle of sparkling wine Complimentary choice of one valet laundry or pressing service Bliss Collection by Norwegian™ featuring fine linens, pillows and a memory foam mattress or mattress topper Coffee and tea set-up TV, refrigerator, safe and hair dryer Sitting area Lower beds arranged as a queen-size bed
  10. How about a fifth-grader practicing clarinet endlessly? 🙉😖
  11. OP - At the World Class Bar on S-class ships, get the Zacapa 23 Rum Old Fashioned - best drink I think I've had on a ship. Given the flavor profile you like, this should be right down your alley.
  12. Wondering if anybody out there has done this tour from a well-known business selling shore excursions and tours? If so, thoughts on the tour? Looking for an alternate to the normal Stone Island beach day while in Mazatlan.
  13. I feel like it was a 10-15 minute cab ride if I am remembering correctly. It wasn't difficult or expensive.
  14. Check your sailing on the app also - once they load up dining options you can select chef's table and scroll through the nights to see when it is offered.
  15. There isn't a "Persian Gardens" on Apex, but there is most definitely a thermal suite, because wife & I had the weekly pass! Now, I cannot answer if there is "free" access for Edge Villa guests.
  16. I had the same thing happen. The one that said "pending" was accepted within a day or so.
  17. For red wine, get the Silverado Cabernet if they have it. Tom Collins with Hendricks or The Botanist gin. Bartender told me this one - get a foo-foo blended drink like Pina Colada but made with Zacapa 23 rum - game changer! And my wife became addicted to drinking Aqua Panna water with her meals!
  18. In the US, but I waited only about 7-8 minutes yesterday afternoon. Seems like it is a crapshoot based on incoming call volume.
  19. This must be why she told me we had access - must've gotten confused about the sailing dates versus date of the reclassification.
  20. We are on Solstice to Mexican Riviera in January, and wanted to get access to the spa thermal suite. I called in because website was acting wonky (big surprise!), and the agent told me that thermal suite access was an included amenity with the Sky Suite. I questioned this, and she went away and checked and came back and said "yes, I confirmed this is part of the amenities for your suite". I don't think this is correct, but the only time we've been in a Sky Suite was on Apex, not on S-class... So maybe (would be nice) the agent was correct? What do people with real experience with this say?
  21. If a food tour interests you for Mazatlan, we did a food tour (I think it was "taste of Pitiyal") with Flavor Teller Food Tours 2-3 years ago and it was awesome. Went to places we never would have found on our own, and at a very reasonable price. Guide was very knowledgeable and informative.
  22. Now that you mention this, I do recall having seen them as well.
  23. There is definitely a chair lift showing in the first one of these pictures from a few years ago.
  24. That's how I read the letter as well. Refund 100% plus 100% FCC gives you about $8k to plan next voyage (if you wish).
