A question about the Horizon…

If you’ve been on the Horizon recently, did you find the lounges, casino, dining room, and bars comfortable?  I’m leaving Sunday and can’t decide whether or not to bring long sleeves.    I’ve been on ships before where the public areas were freezing and you needed a jacket everywhere.  I’ve also been on ships where you could wear cruise wear everywhere.   Just wondering what your recent experience was, I’m trying to pack only what I need.

I don't think anyone can tell you that, what someone finds as a comfortable temp is all relative.  What I find comfortable is freezing to my wife.

I never need sweaters or long sleeves inside and my wife ALWAYS does. Safer to take something I would imagine.

I was on the Horizon in March and again in April. I found it cooler in March. I usually wear long sleeve silk blouses and long pants in the evenings (dinner, casino, etc.). I had taken jackets with me both times and only used them in March. In April there were a few spots in the casino where I felt cool, but the rest of it was comfortable.

We just got back on April 10th. we didn't find it to be cold anywhere on the ship. some of the gals wore sweatshirts on the deck at night, but I think that has been common on most cruises we have been on. We had a great time. I hope you enjoy your trip.

The only time I e ever been cold on a cruise was departure day out of New Orleans in the winter.  Hoodies are a must for sure.

 

To be honest, I found myself rather warm on the Horizon in October, and eager to shed formal clothes as soon as we got out of dinner.
