bluemarble Posted April 26, 2022 #1 Share Posted April 26, 2022 (edited) Here's an article from the BBC mentioning Queen Victoria offered assistance to a P&O ferry which was adrift off the coast of Larne. P&O ferry European Causeway adrift off coast of Larne Quoting from the article: "It is understood the Queen Victoria cruise ship, en route to Belfast for a refit, is also on site, along with a coastguard helicopter from Prestwick." A review of QV's track from marinetraffic reveals she did divert and was on the scene off Larne for a few minutes around 3:00pm. She is now back on her way and is approaching Belfast. Host Hattie Posted April 26, 2022 #2 Share Posted April 26, 2022 Thanks @bluemarble, P&O Ferries have been in the news a lot recently so today's ferry problem attracted more attention than it would in normal circumstances. Hopefully everyone is OK

She's had most of her topsidexwork done on the Tyne she's in Belfast fir a dry Dock to check her undercarriage, scrape off her collection of crustaceans and make sure she's safe to continue sailing. Bit like an MOT. Lol

canoncruiser Posted May 3, 2022 #8 Share Posted May 3, 2022 Hey Ho, I’ve just been in Belfast and there was QV in dry dock at Harland & Wolfe. All her boats were off and there were several cranes above-but there was no activity that I could see- it was Bank Holiday. Spent all my time at the Titanic Museum-it is wonderful.😊
