Purchasing bottles of wine

I am surprised I can’t bring wine on board on embarkation day.  Can I purchase wine for my stateroom on the ship?

There are various options to pre-purchase a bottle of wine delivered to your cabin. E.g. for a European cruise:

- €25 for a bottle of Pinot Grigio Bastianich or Chianti Peppoli Antinori, in your cabin.

- €27 for a bottle of asti and fruit basket.

- €69 for a bottle of Moet et Chandon, 2 souvenir glasses and 10 chocolate covered strawberries.

 

I'm sure you can also order from room service, but don't know the details.

You ought to be able to buy a bottle of wine from one of the bars and take it to your stateroom.  If you do so, note whether you will need a corkscrew or not and also ask for the appropriate wine glasses.
