Thank you for publishing your diary of the cruise.  It was very informative.  Your report of the Covid-related headaches also reinforced the correctness of my decision a few months ago that it would be premature for DH (an avid photographer) and me to go to Antarctica in the 2021-2022 season.  We were leaning towards Ponant.

 

I am glad you enjoyed your trip, but the degree of Covid-related regimentation you described  (on top of the usual travel problems and hiccups) is not for us. There is a benefit/inconvenience ratio in every trip we do, and right now, that ratio looks pretty low for Antarctica.
