Finally made it to Montserrat which had been on my bucket list for years!  
It was magical but we were very, very disappointed that we did not get to go in to the basilica. 
Apparently they now charge and sell advance tickets so it books up. 
Our tour company did not get us tickets nor tell us we needed tickets so we were unable to go in. 
If you plan to go to Montserrat check with your tour company regarding the basilica tickets!!!
