REFRESHING OBSERVATIONS FROM THE SEASHORE

Well, today we finally found out the answer to the balloon led screen scenes outside the Cabaret Rouge. After lunch we did our walk-about the ship and there were some very beautiful motion scenes occurring. Standing and watching the  scene as if in a balloon floating above  I stopped a crew person cleaning the restroom nearby and asked him about the scenes. He told us it is in motion all afternoon and at night it stops with a still picture of Paris for anyone wanting a picture by a ship's photographer. I think that management has got the wrong people cleaning the restrooms. They should be switched with the pursers and those behind the information windows.

Checked today's program and there is a matinee mini opera this afternoon. We prefer tomorrow's show presentation "Amore", worth seeing twice in the same evening. In the Cabaret Rouge is another 'in flux' presentation called "Contemporary Collection", a 'dance party' hosted by the ship's DJ. Our room steward put a different Venchi chocolate on our pillow each night. Last nights were the best Venchi has to offer; one square wrapped in green, a  pistachio/chocolate paste no nuts and cremino creamy chocolate. Tempted to return to the kiosk for another kilo of the pistachio (already got a kilo of cremino).

Last two days of this cruise. Ocean Cay is our highlight worth getting off the ship for. We went to the concierge station to ask for tip envelopes. Young lady asked DW  how many ? DW replied "12 please." Concierge counted out 12 envelopes as if they were bank notes and said "do you want more ?"

About Le Cabaret Rouge, is the regular troupe no longer there?  The male and female lead singers, the five dancers and the band that was up in the loft?  We loved their show, their energy, and the friendly banter and visits tableside after each show!

The service from top to bottom has been instantaneous in the Yacht Club. Yesterday our living room sliding door push button failed to open or close (still had use of the push button sliding door off the bedroom onto the balcony) Technician had it fixed within the hour.

The male vocalist is not here. Had only one show "Women in Art", with the female vocalist and the 3 /2 dancers. They hope to return in June.

Thanks.  That makes sense.  They started working on their show in January, so they are probably due some time off.  Glad you are having a good cruise!  Also glad you will be one of the first on Seascape when she comes to the U.S.  We won't be able to sail on her until March.  Maybe we will run into you or @no1talks then.

Everyone has different preferences. Mine is to be able to see the ocean from a reclining position, in the shade. I hope the Seascape is the same.

P.S. Is what I'm saying anything like building a house on the ocean and then sound-proofing it so one can not hear the waves ?

Just spent the last hour looking with binoculars over the railing of our balcony for someone overboard. Captain made announcement if all could be on lookout. Stopped in water for about an hour 4 to 5 pm. Terrible if true....Just one announcement asking for two people report to guest services or call.

And on the heels of a woman going overboard from Celebrity Solstice during the early morning of the 17th...

I was going to offer a witticism to you and @JAGR regarding the possibility we three will be on the same sailing of Seascape in March. It seems in poor jest, now, given your tragic news.

Nonetheless, our cruise is scheduled for March 12th-19th.

On a lighter note. At tonights show at 7 pm "Mystic Forest" most of this show revolves around gymnastics with singing and dancing at the same time. What was nice to see once again was the presence of one 'slap stick' waiter with a trick tray of drinks offering guests  lemoncellas, then tripping and spilling empty drinks in their laps, amusing the audience before the performance. I walked down from our 'lofty' seats in the YC section and the gentleman was kind enough to pose for a picture. So should any of you have this gentleman sneak up upon you, you will know that you are about to become part of the entertainment.

Learned something else new today at the Venchi Chocolate kiosk. There is a difference between the unwrapped chocolates found in the display case and the foil and paper wrapped chocolates. Those foil and paper wrapped can be bagged and taken home. The case chocolates are actually in refrigeration and must be consumed right away, they will not bag or box them as they will 'melt in your hand, not in your mouth'.

Nothing as interesting as one might expect from the "Most interesting man in the world."

Find it quite interesting that the transport Acqua Panna all around the world for the YC 😄

Well, good for them to have a container line also.

We had Robert Bala when we last cruised Seaside in 2019.

Questions regarding the mini bar. No more small bottles of liquor correct? Are there cans of Pringles, nuts, chocolates etc. in mini bar? Is mini bar being refilled daily?

Thanks again

No miniatures of liquor. One can buy these items from the ship's liquor store. From what we understand there is no charge for the first item but when refilled there might or might not be a charge depending on frequency. We only drink the Aqua Panna and the Venchi chocolates we purchased first evening. Supposed to get a bottle of spirits, requested it twice, will see if we get it today (last day of cruise). Not all that important to us. What we appreciate are all the extra towels we consume each day.

Apparently, from the above, there is little shaded areas on the One Pool Deck. What about Top Sail Lounge? We cannot be in the sun for any length due to Skin Cancer.

TIA

Saw this set up that a couple had at the One Pool Deck with you in mind. Up against the wall with canvas overhang. But will not vouch for the canvas being UV impenetrable. Might be good for a couple hours. Nice thing about the One Pool Deck is that the YC pool deck attendants will do your lounge chair set up for you. Your personal items act as your reserved notice to others.
