  1. Ryanair is Europe's biggest and most popular airline (they say :D) We try to use them for all flights in Europe for 25 years already, and yes, we try to choose the departure port on Europe according to their network ๐Ÿ™‚ Even if you bring a couple of suitcases they are unbeatable.
  2. But no cheap airlines in Amsterdam, from Paris and London you can take Ryanair to Rome.
  3. It is unfortunately not that easy. And the present rules for Canadian bookings are something that is only known in Canada ๐Ÿ™‚
  4. I was 39 when I did this 24+ hours flight to Australia and I almost died. By no means I will do this a second time in my life.
  5. 100 percent positive. Very well organized, great ship, perfect stops. If the schedule fits into docking time I guess to they are the best choice.
  6. Not an advertising executive, but long before my cruiser career during my student days a few decades before I backpacked through all South East Asia. Sulawesi and Flores are places that I particularly remember. Guess there are many words one can choose to describe, Torajas main attraction certainly are the tombs and graveyards and funerals, so "morbid" obviously hits it better than "unique". But advertising it as unique is not a lie nor exaggerated.
  7. Even I have to admit that Sulawesi is very unique ๐Ÿ™‚
  8. No, they will not do anything. But certainly it is not impossible that a very motivated staff is acting as @Essiesmom wrote. Actually this only happens or should happen if you order the cake to been delivered to the MDR for dinner.
  9. It is different from port to port. There are many options how MSC handles it, more than this two ๐Ÿ™‚
  10. Actually when reading this forum it almost seems most of the people are either over 80 years old or disabled ๐Ÿ˜„ It is not a big thing to do a walking tour from Termini to Colisseum, Forum Romanum, Vatical City, Pantheon, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza di Spagna. Just 10 km altogether. Of cause things a different for a big group with very small kids and very old folks, but normally ...
  11. As far as I know this must be done with guest relations. You can have to cake delivered to the cabin or to a restaurant, but nothing will happen if you not act 24 hours before.
  12. Well, it depends on the port, but if you arrive between 11 and 1 the waiting time can be really really long and your husband will never do this again ๐Ÿ˜„ After 1 pm the lines get much shorter and after 2 they are basically inexistent as @Tapi wrote. So 2pm would be a fair deal for both of you.
  13. I checked, Easter holiday 2025 in Europe is from April 12 to 27. Certainly much higher prices, the WE starts from $1,224pp and as usual NO kids sail free. 2 adults, 2 kids, $3,595, uhh, ugly. Fantasia is $822pp but with kids sail free. This is really a good price! Or to say would be, because all inside and oceanview for families sold out already. So with seeing this price gap, it would be a no brainer for me to take the WE on your selected date. You certainly can get a good deal for the Fantasia from time to time, but these mid $700pp (starting) prices with kids sail free for the WE are more than excellent.
  14. Then probably the Fantasia is way to expensive because normally the WE costs about 30 percent more. Or it is European Easter holidays, then certainly all cruises are much more expensive than normal.
  15. As usual a lot of good tips from you. Certainly no European needs a tip from me about Rome, but as the flights in Europe to/from Rome are more or less free, I would not hassle with the day trip from Civitavecchia.
  16. Wow, feel yourself honored to get serviced by a Malaysian ๐Ÿ˜‰ Usually even on a Malaysian cruise with a Malaysian cruise line around Malaysia, the staff is from Philippines or Indonesia๐Ÿ˜„ Actually I never met any Malaysian staff on a Western cruise line as they donยดt hire in Malaysia. But almost any nationality can file a job application.
  17. A few days after writing this I also saw this crazy offer way below 20โ‚ฌ per day.
  18. I thought so also. But they do not honor the best price guarantee outside the US.
  19. MSC never (at least not in the last 20 years) let you order from the MDR to the room if you are not sick. This is absolutely normal, also the other European mainstream lines have the same policy. Europeans more or less do not use the room service at all with the exception of breakfast on the balcony.
  20. Short and simple answer: No, they are not fleetwide. Even on European cruises the menus are different from ship to ship.
  21. These reviews are garbage, some people just paid too much and then want to blame the ship or MSC instead of themselves. About the cruise I wrote a little bit here recently:
  22. Where you embark is not relevant. If you book with MSC UK you will get free water (and free coffee). If you book elsewhere you will not get it.
  23. Watching Italy v Spain now on World Europa would be great fun I guess ๐Ÿ™‚
  24. Much faster is the bus from Zeebrugge-Kerk, it starts just 5 minutes away from the ship. Only disadvantage, you have to adjust your schedule to the bus schedule as the bus is not running too often. But there is a useful morning bus from Zeebrugge and a useful afternoon bus back from Brugge.
