Civitavecchia express

Hi all , we are booked on the epic and visiting Rome on aug 9th and planning to use the express train to get into the city but can’t find out what time we are leaving the port on the day and do we have to be back on the boat so many hours before we sail ?

long time since I’ve cruised so in need of some advice 😂

On NCL website shows arrive 6am...leave 7pm. Usually need to be onboard 30mins before sailing.

For 2022 they cut back the express route to only once per day in each direction.

If you want more time in Rome, you may need to get an earlier start and ride the regular train with all the commuters.

Also remember it takes some time to get from Civitavecchia station to the ship:

You are going to be hitting Roman rush hour traffic going in - and coming out...

Might be wise to at least consider an expensive HAL tour to make sure you do not...miss the boat.
