need help with transportation in Seattle

Recommended Posts

The Port of Seattle's free Port Valet luggage to SeaTac may help you if your cruise line participates (Carnival may not, at least not so far this season), and there are airline departure times cutoffs.

You will most likely have to check any handheld luggage with a curbside small luggage holder outside the stadium as part of their security measures.

This is the part I would worry about. A lot of stadiums / arenas have gone to a "clear bag only" policy - otherwise, no purses, no backpacks, no nothing!

If you are on Carnival, who is apparently not participating in Port Valet, there is a luggage storage facility at SeaTac, but then you would be adding another paid trip.

Here's the Mariners' gate and bag policy:  Gate & Bag Policy FAQ | Seattle Mariners (mlb.com)

Clear bags only except for clutch-sized bags; no backpacks or similar.

Since any game would start hours after you arrive off the ship, I'd just head to the airport and store your bags - Seattle–Tacoma International Airport (SEA) - Smarte Carte, Inc. - then ride the light rail back up to the Stadium station, which is a block or two from the ballpark.

Last year, we went to the Mariners game after our cruise.  We were on NCL so we were able to use Port Valet but we had our carry ons which we could not bring into the game.  We left them at a luggage storage place at Pike Place Market called Lug Not.  It was $6 a bag.  We hopped the light rail at Westlake to the game then back to the market, grabbed dinner then grabbed the light rail to the airport.  It was really easy.

suggest you call Embassy Suites Pioneer Square or Silver Cloud Stadium hotels and see if you could leave bags there.  Very close to Stadium.  Amtrak stores luggage but sign says Amtrak customers only and they chg $10 per bag.
