Beware Sydney Airport, my son flew out of SYD to Copenhagen via Doha last Tuesday, for work.  He told me he got to the airport 5 hours before flight time in the evening and it was still chaos, massive delays at check in, security etc, etc.  Pax are being made to wait outside the terminal in the cold, due to overcrowding inside. Not good enough.

 

Media is reporting overall staff shortages of 5,000 people at Sydney Airport, that is check in staff, security, Border Force (customs/Immigration), Luggage Handlers, catering staff, retail staff, etc, etc.
