I had already decided that we would use the Dart rather than the Hop on Hop off, so glad to see that choice was vindicated. Last time I was in Dublin we were staying outside the city and used the Dart, it worked really well.

We’ve not been to the Guinness Storehouse for ages, and were considering going back this year. I think you’ve just made my mind up. How long did you spend there?

Depends how long ago, the original hop store was the hop store.

The new one is purpose built lacks the original smell engrained in the structure.

If last tender is late a few options in Dun L for a last min beverage.

The spoons has Beamish(€3.30) worth trying if you like a Guinness for a comparison.

Dublin spoons is €3.80 for the same.

I only did it the Hop on Hop Off because of the $50.00 excursion credit.  If it’s a party of 1 by all means you should do it since it’s free but next time I might pass the free and go with the dart instead.

I spent about 2 hours inside the Guinness and 1 hour at Jameson and then it was time to go back.  Well worth the time!

The most under utilize space on the ship!

I like the look of Cellars on the Dawn and were planning on going there quite a bit. Not sure if it being that empty if a good or bad thing. If you get chance could you see if they are serving champagne there. You would think so with it being a wine bar, but you never know.

They do serve champagne but you need the premium package or pay extra.  Empty most of the day.

Day 6

Belfast

Rainy start… I am doing the Hop on Hop Off due to the excursion credit.  I might go to the Titanic Museum on my own (£22.50) certainly cheaper than doing an excursion from the ship.  You can use the hop on hop off service to get to the Titanic Museum.

Day 6

Belfast

A shuttle will take you to City Hall which is the start of the tour.  NCL insisted that the tour company start picking up passengers at 8AM even though they don’t operate until 10AM but they did start the hop on hop off service around 9 AM for the cruise ship.  People were not happy that they got here at 8:30 AM and had to wait around.

You need Premium Plus for Champagne. The free at sea offer is the premium package.

Yeah, the upgrade is worth it for us. I was just checking that we would be able to get champagne there. Sometimes you make assumptions, even logical ones, and then find that you were wrong. 🙂

That’s what I meant … you need to upgrade to the PLUS.  This trip is so port intensive I actually turned down the package.  I do my drinking at the pub 😆 as a sightseeing stop 😂
