Juneau & ISP-explore tram area before or after excursion?

Both our excursions offer an earlier and later time but we also want to explore the tram area/hike/explore a bit, which should we do first?

 

Juneau there from 7-130 and excursion at 7 or 930 for 3.75hrs

ISP there from 7-3 and excursion at 730 or 1045 for 2.5hrs

Juneau, I would not buy tickets ahead to check if you can see the top unless excursion includes more than just the tram. 

ISP, I would do 1045 to give the fog time to lift if doing zip line. With new gondola I am not sure how long it takes to do top viewing.
