Kim Sha Beach

Hello all!

We will be going to St. Martin on Royal Caribbean in a couple of weeks and was wondering if you can rent umbrellas on Kim Sha Beach? I was looking at the different excursions and this one didn't mention anything about umbrella rental, just that chairs are included. I thought in the past it was said you could rent one for additional charge. Thank you!

There is umbrella rental available on Kim Sha. I would think you could rent an umbrella in addition to what you get on an excursion (if not including umbrella) but cannot be sure.  You could just get a taxi to Kim Sha (or other beaches that I might prefer) and rent what you want from vendors there.

Don’t forget KS in in the middle of Condo World, where owners/renters (regular guests known to vendors) arrive early and take the best front positions.

Ship Tours are usually relegated to second/thirds ranks in strictly regulated blocks.

KS is not the easiest beach to enter from the sea, drop off/soft sand.

If not arriving early as a private guest, to select position, move beds etc (gratuity appreciated), then consider looking elsewhere.

But the bar food is good and generous.
