Upgrading beverage package

We have been gifted $1,000 OBC and want to upgrade to the Premium Plus beverage package. OBC is available upon boarding, would it be more expensive to upgrade then and use the credit or buy it now pre-cruise and use the OBC for shore excursions?

Honestly, in either case (Beverage Pkg vs Excursions) prices "could" go up.  With that "maybe" in mind, I would choose whichever selection was of greater importance to us.

I don't think that the price of the upgrade changes. ShoreEx, however are selling out on many ships due to limited supplier availability. On our cruise last month, most of the shoreex was sold out before we boarded.

Barring a price increase, it shouldn't cost any more to purchase the package onboard.  I have some OBC and will wait until aboard to upgrade.  As @BirdTravelsstates, you never know which excursions might sell out beforehand so I'd be inclined to book those in advance.

For a 7-day cruise the Premium Plus upgrade charge is $243.00. I always use my OBC for it and upgrade as soon as I board. Note you are only allowed to upgrade on day one of the cruise.
