How close to sailing do the upgrade fairy emails start hitting your inbox?

I got my first message about 45 days out. But then I didn’t book until 60 days out, so I may not be a good point if reference. Good luck!

Thank you.  It has been awhile on MSC.  Last two times we booked where we wanted straight away.  This time, we went lower, hoping to get lucky.

We booked last year and are 40 odd days out. We started getting them in May.

Our cruise starts on October 15.  I received the upgrade email  today.  Nothing worth  bidding  on in my opinion.  I will wait and see if another email comes closer to the cruise.  I was offered oceanview.  YC interior, deluxe balcony and balcony aurea.  Cheapest was $145pp, most expensive was YC interior for $1265 pp.  This is for a 14 day cruise.  We are currently in an interior cabin on Deck 15.

If the bid for Oceanview starts at $145pp that works out to $10 pp/pday to get a window...I'd take that in a heartbeat.  In our experience the minimum price goes up as people start biting on the bids and the bids get accepted.

Not a fairy, per se, since she sprinkles her pixie dust upgrades for free.... These are bids 🙂

Im just not sure  if I want to be on  deck  5 vs deck  15 even  with a window.

Curious as to why?  Deck 5 gives you fabulous access and has less motion than an inside cabin on deck 15.

I decided to bid $150 per person since the price is more than reasonable.  Now I wait I guess...This is our first time on MSC....I appreciate your advice.
