What if you test positive at pier in foreign port?

Does anyone know how Regent handles it if you test positive when trying to board

in a foreign port?  We are in a pre-cruise land program before boarding, so I know

Regent will cover the testing procedure.  Does the testing occur at the hotel?  Is it the rapid test (antigen)?  What happens if positive and you cannot board?  Do they wave “goodbye” and you’re on your own?  Are you quarantined somewhere?  Anyone know the procedure?  This is our worst nightmare.

Testing is at the pier if required. Some countries will expect you to quarantine and some won't...but with no test required to fly home I bet most would just hop on a plane.

And if you are ever really, really sick in a foreign country (for any reason, Covid or otherwise), and need to be medically evacuated, you should consider insurance such as MedJet.

Absolutely!  I just think that people need to consider that you can get seriously sick or injured outside the US and you may want return to a hospital in or near your hometown for treatment, depending on the circumstances.  There is insurance that can get you specific coverage for the evacuation in that circumstance.  It is something to consider, particularly for those who travel internationally on a regular basis.

I am worried about testing positive at the port also. Will they let you board if you have a document stating your original positive Covid test is two weeks old?
