Port where you dock in London

We are doing a back to back Regent cruise and the layover will be in London. Are there any shopping areas near the port? Specifically we would like to get to a bookstore and a place to buy some Cadbury chocolate. We could get a taxi if needed.

Is the port actually in London or is it Southampton?

Any time we have cruised on Regent and docked in "London" we have docked in Southhampton.  There are lots of means of getting to London from Southhampton.  Also there are a variety of ships near the dock.

there is a WH smith and another  near the horizon terminal where regent docks in Southampton about 1.6 miles as well.  There are cabs at the port or you could walk.

If it socks in Southampton, which I think it will, then there is a great shopping centre within easy walking distance from the dock. There is a big Waterstones bookshop in there. Also plenty of places for Cadbury’s. 😊
