hfxdeb Posted July 15, 2022 #1 Share Posted July 15, 2022 Has anyone received the 20% back for the change in Baltic itinerary? We were on the Getaway May 27th sailing. After our final payment date the itinerary was changed to exclude St. Petersburg (understandably). We were promised a 20% refund because of this. We paid for the cruise using credits from our cancelled 2020 cruise so was not sure what form this refund would take. The letter said to wait 30 business days for the refund. Contacting NCL, was told the 30 business days were from the sail date, not the date of the letter. So I waited until today (July 15) which was 7 weeks from the sail date. Was told the refund would be in the form of a credit but wait 1 more week as it hasn't been deposited yet. No idea if there will be an expiry date on this credit (the NCL rep didn't know). Our original credit expired end of this year.
Funky Fusion FoodsJ Posted July 15, 2022 #2 Share Posted July 15, 2022 Your FCC should have an expiration date of 5 June 2023.
deelightfull Posted July 15, 2022 #3 Share Posted July 15, 2022 I know we got the 20%, (Dawn, sailing next week, July 20), but my husband handled that. I'll ask him how it worked.
deelightfull Posted July 15, 2022 #4 Share Posted July 15, 2022 (edited) Hubby says it took two different phone calls, but eventually it came back as a credit on our credit card. This is a first cruise with NCL for us, so no FCCs or anything of the sort were used to pay. And we don't sail till Wednesday, so it's DEFINITELY not 30days from time of sail, someone somewhere can make it right, they just don't want to. Sounds like you have some time on hold ahead of you. 😕 Edited July 15, 2022 by deelightfull More information

So we would have to cruise by next June or just book something by then, do you think?
hfxdeb Posted July 22, 2022 Author #6 Share Posted July 22, 2022 Our FCC is showing under my husband's account. Not sure how long it has been there, we weren't checking his account. It has an expiry date and a sail by date of December 31, 2022.
