@tulok MANY THANKS for your wonderful LIVE postings and reviews.  It is greatly appreciated.  Best wishes as you travel home, and hope you and yours stay healthy.  We board tomorrow.  I have internet, but, for some reason I am unable to post on CC from my phone, so I will not be reviewing.  No slams from me, only appreciation!

Thank you. I wish you the best cruise and I hope you get Guru and Nileash as your servers. They were awesome. I will be jealous as I am washing clothes and cooking.

It is really hard to have a bad vacation when you don’t have to do the dishes. 😁

Restroom very clean, you can rent chairs & umbrella. There’s a food truck w a bar area that has reopened. We had brought beach sheet to lay on. One area was quite rocky, but not the entire beach. I walked one end to the other. The water was super calm. You can walk from Clearwater to Cooper Nature Preserve- no amenities- but a few more beautiful beaches. Our dinner mates made it there.   & said it was beautiful.

Dinner was delicious at Luminae, we’re skipping magician show tonight.

Can you tell me if it is easy to get to Clearwater Beach please? Mobility issues with friends. Thanks in advance!

Easier to share the letter we got.

I got my positive home test before we dressed for the chic night. We got dressed, took a few pics & got back into casual clothes cause we knew we had to go down to medical. I was able to pack most of my suitcase, I hate packing at night- so we are on point to get thrown off the ship at 8:30 tomorrow. I finally brought my Bermuda cedar bag from my honeymoon  in Bermuda 41 years ago- back to Bermuda-I  was going to use it tonight… oh well ill add it to our cruise stories.

btw we had to fill out 5 pages of questions due to contact tracing… they even asked what we were wearing day of embarkation.

@BratDet In the letter you posted regarding your options, Celebrity indicated you could continue isolating onboard "even if this means staying onboard for all or part of the vessel's next voyage".  Were you already booked on the next cruise (as a B2B) or were they offering to have you sail again, with part of that sailing in isolation?

We were not booked for next cruise, but it was offered….I’ll post more once we get home. Thankfully we are not worse. Showered, caffeinated, packed & waiting for our 8:30 escort to separate gangway.

I thought being on a cruise to Bermuda for Hurricane Sandy in 2012 (evacuated to Boston) was going to be our top crazy cruise story…. This might top it….still grateful to have cruised to our favorite place - Bermuda…thankful I didn’t book a European cruise this summer though….haha

Since there was no Cruise Critic Celebrity get together, that inhibited meeting ppl from other places. We met fellow diners in Luminae from the Carolinas, Florida, Ct. The duck I found was from a Colorado cruiser.
BTW in isolation I was too ill  to read, so TV was on. I heard Rich specifically state there was not karaoke fleet wide on Celebrity- just the sing with the band which did happen again at end of cruise.

Gonna switch to laptop, but easier to post photo from my phone.

we were told to be ready to leave for 8:30 and we were….

I am not feeling better, but I've had my morning coffee and the air con is on full blast....so I wanted to type before anything I share is old news...Ship Dr. said symptoms would ebb and flow...

We waited, customs officials came to our room....looked at us, checked us off their list and said we were cleared. Not one single question about purchases, anything. Then we had to wait again till staff came for us- they were supposed to send a trolley for the luggage....I felt SOOOO bad as my luggage was heavy and the wheel do not roll as well on carpet as they used to. No luggage trolley was there so our butler had my luggage and another gentleman my husbands and we followed to forward elevator to a separate gangway to a waiting transport van. I tucked another 20$ in my butlers pocket- yes I felt bad....

OMG, we NEVER have made it home so quick. This guy did 94mph  in a 55 mph zone. I turned on my waze and clocked him, I wasnt able to catch the 94 as a photo cause I was till saving a 92 mph photo. My husband got him to take more care getting off turnpike by saying there are two sharp turns up ahead. On the bright side we were in the HOV lanes.

The driver had the ventilation up so high I had a coughing fit....but a cough drop and drinking seltzer calmed it down. I had tossed back Nyquil before we left to try to quell excessive coughing...

Our tips were fully included in our fare.

Celebrity declined our request the morning we were leaving to turn our 379$ ish on board credit into refundable OBC - since we could not use it - so  instead of cruise line keeping the almost 400$ cash- we doled out all of it to our butler, steward and luminae staff.

BTW- normally both of us have ibuprofin in our bags- but I had packed mine in the first suitcase and just felt to ill to try to dig find it which is why this nurse asked for some immediately, and again the next morning and got it later that afternoon. We both struggled to pack that night.

Note - besides the dockyard pharmacy- when we went to Hamilton on Friday- when you walk up the street the post office is on, take the next street to the right (parallels to Front Street)...a few stores in on the left is a combo mini mart a few doors in with a pharmacy section....I had my hands on the last bottle of generic Dayquil they had.....husband said, You dont need it.....hahaha  WHY did I listen to him? The ship provided 2 bottles nyquil only, but I did ask for day quil- never got any....we finished one bottle before we left the ship. Prices overall better than dockyard pharmacy, we got some chocolate and oranginas to have.

We are supposed to be contacted while on shore to discuss compensation, but not sure if that will happen as we got a last minute letter with a 250$ good will credit for a future cruise.....

The ship does not have the covid antivirals so we had to do telehealth when we got home. One scrip was 700$, one 500$...both free of cost to us. Drive thru pick up, take out drive thru food for dinner.

I thought I was doing better, but that was the drugs talking. Coughing, hacking, head not clear...but I had a decent sleep.

This was our 4th cruise in a suite on Summit to Bermuda. With flights being a nightmare starting last winter,,,,I did not want to have to fly in super early to  port- much easier to drive to port. We always enjoy whatever we feel like doing in Bermuda....and the suite life on Summit is soooo worth the $$$. We have sailed inside, porthole window, window, balcony, and of course suite on cruises. We've sailed without any drink packages. We are not fussy people, but do enjoy the suite experience...

We've had a lot of "rough seas" in our lives due to the pandemic (of course like everyone has)- so this cruise was part of getting back to normal....well that went south  hahaha

BTW- only had one photo taken at dinner , never saw it due to isolation (but when you go to meet and greet with officers in Retreat Lounge photographer takes a photo and you get it as a keepsake...the guy left without taking our pic...) that was the reason we took that chic night photo for the dinner that never was in the cabin before we went for PCR's.

First cruise in 4 on Summit, we NEVER saw the Captain....even in passing....

I hope all those traveling on Summit enjoy her as much as we do...without the covid we picked up...

b on the couch, trying to type coherently....

I know you had a veranda stateroom that you were allowed to quarantine in, do you know if they had other areas sectioned off on the cruise for quarantine?  When we sailed in February on the Apex the starboard side of deck 3 was closed to guests not quarantined as was the forward on deck 6.

I really hope Celebrity is doing a great job sanitizing the rooms between sailings considering the length of time you spent sick in your room and the new passengers boarding who have no clue! I've packed my Microban spray and sanitizing wipes!

Regarding balcony- the settee outside was the most uncomfortable thing I've ever sat on...once diagnosed I stayed inside...

BTW I swear I posted I was told about 2080 passengers were on board....so pretty full

I did not overhear anything about designated isolation areas....

nor did there seem to be any large number of ill people...but they did have some kind of emergency they were attending to the day we called medical...

One Summit cruise we were well on our way and returned to Bayonne in the night to drop off an ill passenger...another Summit cruise we were closer to Bermuda and arrived the night before it was planned also due to medical emergency...nothing like that on this cruise..

.I do wonder what their protocol is for sanitizing the suite in between cruisers....I even wondered if anyone before us using the cabin were ill....I wonder if the suite will be cruised in- or left unused.....I do wonder myself...

Hubby started to feel ill yesterday morning as we braved the chaotic self-assist debarking. Got home by 11 am, showered, and sat on the coach. He looked at me and said “I don’t feel right”. It was a rough night! Got up took at home COVID test, positive for him, negative for me. We are at the urgent care getting PCR and hopefully some meds for him. We knew it was a definite possibility that after avoiding COVID for 2 1/2 years, we would go on a cruise and get it. I feel completely fine, but am taking all the precautions. I’ve been trying to reach Celebrity to let them know, but the hold time is insane!! I thought I’d take a break from the promotion music and post. Hopefully everyone else made it home safely!

OHHHH NOOOOOO...I was hoping there would not be anyone else...buy the Nyquil it really did help....hopefully you will stay ok....and he makes it thru...easier than us....

I find it interesting we are positive at the end of the cruise...when we contact trace we go back 48 hours prior to first symptom and we were all good when we boarded...makes ya wonder....

I also wonder if they report us to the NJ Health Department as positive....to add to the spiking numbers here

Did he have fevers  I was 102.7 even with the Tylenol in the Nyquil

Thank you! Yes he had fever…hovered between 100 and 102 all night. With a fever reducer he got to 100. Urgent care temp was 101.4. They didn’t give him any meds…treat it like a bad cold they said🤷🏻‍♀️
BTW, I got through to Celebrity and the young lady I got said she “searched” and could not find a department to report positive case, “but thank you for letting me know!”  😳 I said so you guys are not concerned with positive cases once we leave the boat? I thought it was the responsible thing to do to report. She said, “yes…is there anything else I can do for you today ma’am?” 🤣🤣 I laughed and wished her a good day…she probably thought I was nuts!!
