arubaaruba Posted July 18, 2022 #1 Share Posted July 18, 2022 Question for you all, I have a tight connection in Frankfurt to Nice. If we miss our flight, the next flight available will get us in to NCE very late. We will be sailing out of Monaco and will self-transport with train and foot if we land as expected, however, if we miss our connection and fly in late that plan will not work. Are there last-minute transportation options in NCE to get to Monaco? We have a hotel for the one night prior in Monaco.
john1970 Posted July 18, 2022 #2 Share Posted July 18, 2022 We did it by uber when we had luggage and it was surprisingly cheap and fast. We went from the Ibis styles to Monaco and it was 62EUR. This was in 2019 and non rush hour. No doubt prices have gone up.
Baynanno1 Posted July 18, 2022 #3 Share Posted July 18, 2022 (edited) When booking a private transfer from an airport, one of the things they ask for is your flight number. They are then able to track your flight and be at the airport to collect you and your bags when you land. Last used in 2019, fast & efficient from Nice to Menton (the other side of Monaco) for a few days rest prior to the cruise, we booked via Cabforce and our ride was with Blue Capital Investment Airport Transfers. From Menton to Nice we used Welcome Transfers, which we have used in many places. In Barcelona at the end of the cruise we again booked via Cabforce and the ride was with Mayfair Private Cars. RW75 Posted July 18, 2022 #4 Share Posted July 18, 2022 The helicopter transfers take about five or six minutes and includes transfer. From arrival at the desk in Nice Airport you could conceivably be at the pier within twenty five minutes. obviously better to pre book, however, it’s a good option when in a hurry. Worth considering in such circumstance. Walk up prices will be a little more than pre booking. I’ve usually paid about €90, have been told prices have increased this year. Monacair, Heliair, sure there are a few companies. Take a look at the websites for an idea of pricing. 2
DaytonGirl Posted July 29, 2022 #5 Share Posted July 29, 2022 I second the helicopter option. I've used Heli Air Monaco and it was wonderful. I may have the spelling on the name wrong but that's what it sounds like.
Benthayer Gonbak Posted August 28, 2022 #6 Share Posted August 28, 2022 Be careful with shuttle services, we missed a flight due to a late inbound flight and were told since we didn’t cancel 24 hours in advances! I gave them both flights but they said they only track the latter flight, not the connections.
