  1. Sea Dogy - sorry, I didn’t answer your question. The all suite complementary access was ended quite some time ago. There is a thread on here regarding the subject. I would say there appear to be many variables surrounding access. Sometimes it’s not questioned, other time it is. On Onward it was being strictly adhered to on one sailing, not another, an insistence that day passes be purchased. My most recent sailing on Quest a couple of weeks ago, access wasn’t questioned. Maybe the number of suites on Onward is a factor. Hopefully others with recent experience may post here. I’ll report back next week with the result from Journey next week.
  2. Click on suite amenities. Still shows. Even though it isn’t.
  3. Also seen firsthand and heard people discussing the same - being told it’s not possible to access without a purchased pass. Still listed as a suite amenity even though it isn’t.
  4. Apologies, I should have clarified. Made an assumption based on seeing sold out only to see pricing again a short time later. Assumably an inventory update.

    Upgrade Bids?

Absolutely correct. I often travel solo and there’s no value or very rarely value in bidding. In this particular case for myself assuming minimum bid at 200%, the price would be in line with the cost of those categories offered at the time I booked. Often feel revenue management could make more carefully considered offers to solo passengers, even if at a much closer date to sailing when inventory remains open.
  6. I count 109 staterooms and suites available on a different site that still shows choice of accommodation. Although the Spa Suites were not showing available despite the email offering a bid option. Who knows! Rather feels nothing is quite a certainty recently.
  7. Day passes and voyage passes are sold, I could not tell you price. I’ve heard a figure of $20 for a day pass. When using spa services there seems to be no problem using the pool. No idea what the official policy is, or indeed if there is a single policy applied across all ships.

    Upgrade Bids?

Appears bidding is back in operation. Received an upgrade bid offer for 12 Dec sailing this morning.
  9. Appears upgrade bidding is live and back in operation. The minimum bid pricing is around the same as difference in price between N1 and the above listed options at the time of booking. Quite happy where I am, will not be bidding.
  10. No agent, cruise booked direct with Azamara. All other arrangements were independen. No package regulation applies. Only ABTA guidance and code of member conduct with regard the cruise cancellation.
  11. I was given 14 days notice of cancellation of Journey 5-12 Dec 2023. No options at all except being told I was able to cancel free of charge and receive a full refund. As this was a back to back I was told I could cancel the second sector Singapore to Perth with minimal cancellation fee of only loss of deposit. The notification of cancellation has not been dealt with well. To begin I was berated heavily for not having up to date information in my account and was told I must update immediately. After making the point I was onboard an Azamara ship and had disabled roaming on my phone, I was told again my contact details are wrong. After pushing for further options and making the point that ABTA states a choice of alternative sailing or refund should be offered, I was offered $500 OBC if I rebooked and 500-1000 in no specified currency toward air. A data point that I should also make here is that UK travel insurance does not cover anything considered sub market rates ie frequent flyer mileage bookings or hotel reward nights. Both often not refundable dependant on the program and the level of reward booked. I have experience of a recent Royal Caribbean cancellation which where full refund or alternate sailing were offered and an FCC of 100% issued. Disappointing choices made by Azamara in dealing with these cancellations.

    O.B.C

I deliberately booked by phone to ensure there were no issues further along that would take hours to resolve. In my account the two sailing showed differently upon looking various times, one booking, two bookings, always two numbers even when showing on a single booking. The promotional OBC was displayed then not displayed.
  13. I’ve been in 8800, next door. No noise issue, couple of maintenance issues with furnishings that I’d like to think have been rectified by now. Despite the deck plan suggesting these staterooms may be larger, they’re the standard size balcony staterooms. the forward door in the hallway is crew accommodation access. Bridge access is the other side. The hallway outside 8801 and 8803 are certainly heavy traffic areas. No overwhelming noise issue though.

I was told I’d have $700 for a B2B, had a huge drama having the bookings linked, then was told it was pro rata as a solo booking, no figure given. Another call was assured it was $700. Then told it was $400 which was actually for the second sector as a promotion and finally nothing as one of the two had been booked into a guarantee despite being offered a selection of stateroom at booking. onboard Quest last week future cruise told me I have the B2B credit and he would email the future cruise manager on Journey and she would ensure it’s applied. Arrive home to be told the sailing is cancelled with 14 days notice. No options except ‘free cancellation’. OBC is no longer an issue I guess.

I have several sailings in my account. None show OBC. One sailing did show OBC and has since vanished.

Had to show proof of OBC on Quest, as did many people. When it showed on my TV screen, there was a debit against the OBC for purchase of OBC greater than the amount I had. Worked out correctly by the time of disembarkation. I asked for an account balance on the penultimate sea day as the TV account had not updated since four Ultimate Package debits were made, (only one was purchased) to find a charge of $589 reflected against cruise balance payment. Was very bluntly told I had not paid the balance of the booking, at least one other person had this issue. The obligatory email was sent to Miami, even though I had the balance payment proof. Of course I had paid the balance 120 days prior to sailing. Guest Services finally agreed to release the OBC an hour prior to the shops closing. I also received a letter mid cruise asking me to pay the outstanding account balance of $9.77 which was a little random.
  17. 9 Nov on Quest, 9 night sailing. Inside to outside on deck 4 was USD450. inside to balcony was USD900
  18. I was in here in Feb this year. No chair or sofa. A chair did appear. Same in the adjacent accessible cabin. Maybe the sofa is in one of the fake containers in Shanghai that are constantly referred to and lied about. Great space, overall. Zero storage in the bathroom. Slightly inconvenient. Shower curtain required a little attention which happened. New join housekeeping girl was great. Forget her name unfortunately. Unprompted she clearly spent some time deep cleaning.
  19. Caz, Sure you will have your FCC extended. Sorry to see you missed out on the cruise though. Had the exact same situation last month. Was trying for days to sort out a late booking then booking closed. This week had an agent apply the FCC I was given on the cruise when we met applied despite me giving her a different certificate number. Now the booking is cancelled, the new hold has vanished, three FCCs vanished and the price increased significantly. Ten hours on the phone and no luck at all. Ray
  20. Regular size balcony staterooms. The deck plans are not to scale.
  21. I have 8800 booked on two cruises next year. Will be onboard tomorrow, ask and report back if no one else has any information. Suspect despite the deck plan showing the same size as Club Continent it is simply a not to scale plan.
  22. I’ve had a balance payment reminder for a cruise I used a FCC to cover. My assumption being the FCC was never applied. Was pleased to be rid of them as I’ve had more problems than anyone should have reasonably expected. Currently on hold again after being disconnected while placed on hold while the agent spoke to someone else. Hoping I can deal with this onboard with more success.
  23. Schweppes would sensibly be an easy widely available stock item as it would be an inclusion with the CocaCola supply. I’ve long taken the view that Azamara reject calls for Fever Tree on financial grounds along with a lack of understanding and/or care at a level where procurement decisions are made. While I acknowledge airlines often have supply issues down route and are often stocked with alternatives, supplying a ship is very different and there isn’t a just in time nature to a long life beverage supply chain for a ship. Its hardly as if any Azamara ship is regularly taking on listed beverage supplies at random ports outside the supply chain.
  24. I cancelled two cruises on COVID related grounds. Never had any notification of anything. Fortunately there are a couple of excellent ladies on the phones whom are very experienced and very knowledgeable. If you call and give your booking number you should be given the certificate numbers. If you have any problems I would highly recommend asking to speak to Barbie or Dawn. Without doubt these two ladies have saved many customers from going elsewhere. Both have gone out of their way to deal with issues I’ve had. Well worth the wait if you have to go back onto hold for a while.
