Haven Embarkation process in Los Angeles (World Cruise Center B92)

Does anyone know the process for Haven check-in/embarkation at the Los Angeles World Cruise Center B92?  Last time we did this we had just Priority Embarkation (back when you could purchase that as an upgrade with the Breakfast and a few other things) and it was a complete nightmare, but that was pre-pandemic.  We were in the line outside the tent for a few hours just to get into the tent area (think there was some pre-screening here) and then once we were far enough in we could see the "Haven/Priority" line at the far left.  We kept asking employee's where we needed to go and no one had a clue.

So with that fiasco in mind, has anything changed there?  This is our first time in a Haven Suite so we haven't done their check-in process.  Really wish this was like that uber nice NCL lounge in Florida.  😛

Back in December, it was easy, after going to the covid screening testing in another building.  Then, through security and Haven lounge immediately, a person directing you.  From there, they took care of you.  When the ship was  ready for boarding, you were escorted up and into the Haven area.

You may have your luggage checked in at a common area as well as the covid/health checks.

BUT after that look for the Haven Suites lines signs marquee -

Don't just jump into any line - only to find you were wasting time in the wrong one -

Look for a uniformed NCL agent ASK ?s get directions maybe an escort - - -

Thanks, we asked anyone we could find last time for the Priority thing and no one had a clue.  Guessing all the folks we talked to were not NCL reps but likely port employees.  Bad enough when we got into the area with the main lines you could see the one with the Haven/Priority sign so we asked point blank and they told us to stay in line.  I got a little flabbergasted and moved to the Priority line anyway.

We sailed out of there in March and it was exactly like this.  Hours in the tent, in the heat .... nothing special for being a Haven guest until you get through all that and inside.  Then they are there holding Haven placards and you get moved to a special counter/front of the line and then over to the Haven lounge while they get a group together to take you on board.

San Pedro? we cruised the Haven in April on the bliss from San Pedro. It was pretty quick to get to the Haven area BUT The Haven setup is jenky. Just a smaller area of folding chairs and snacks. Glad we didn't get there that early because it was packed. We got there just in time for us to be escorted up.

I think we were through the Haven lines in under 10 minutes in April.

I'm on the Bliss now in the Haven.  The set up at San Pedro is not great.  I arrived around Noon and there was a huge line outside the tent.  I asked a couple of people where to go for the Haven and both said just to wait in the line and that there would be a separate area for Haven inside the tent.

I spent about 40 minutes in the line and then as we were almost at security, I saw a guy with a Haven sign escort some people to an area on the right side of the tent.  Once I got to that point in the line where he took them in, I asked, and he ushered myself and some other people through.  Could I have just walked up to that point in the line and cut right through?  I'm thinking I probably could had I known and probably would if I were to do it again.  If you want to give that a try, there are essentially two white tents, the one on the right is just a line that zig zags through and the bigger one in the left is security.  They separate out Haven on the very right side of the bigger tent (but it's all through the same opening in the tent).

There was a security guy checking names and passports and then a separate metal detector for Haven.  Once through that, we were at the end of the check in desks and they seemed to prioritize people in the Haven line.  The waiting area was nothing special, and even though boarding was already well in progress, we had to wait for someone to escort us on by muster stations.  They took us past the huge line to get on the ship (forward) and then to our muster station (aft).  After that, they wanted us to then go forward again to the Haven lounge to meet our butlers, but since we were all staying in aft Haven cabins, we all bailed and went to our rooms to drop off our carryon items rather then schlep all that forward and then back again. . .  Rooms were not yet ready, but I still dropped my stuff.

Happy to answer any other questions if you have them.
