Guaranteed cabin

Does anyone have any intelligence / thoughts on why our cabin has moved to guaranteed on Grandiosa’s repositioning cruise next April (from the med to UK / Northern Europe). Thanks in advance

Did you call them or change something?  That seems to trigger this condition.

In some sense and according to the MSC T&Cs all bookings are guarantee bookings. Yet, as @dexddd said, most often this happens when the booking is touched in any way.

Thanks both. I’ve not made any changes or called them but I noted 2 or 3 weeks ago that the cruise was no longer available on their website so something is going on. Question is what?!?

I'm going to bet they are in negotiation with a charter group of some sort.

When is the cruise - there are a couple of 3 nighters on Grandiosa on the website then April 30th there is a Canaries cruise. This happened to us on Virtuosa this year was supposed to be Norway and they changed to Canaries leaving today.(We aren't doing it)

Cruise is 16 April 2023 from Genoa to Southampton with the cruised before (in the Med) and after (in the UK / Northern Europe) are still for sale so I’m pretty sure it’s still repositioning on our dates. Just a bit strange that it’s no longer on sale and our cabin has moved to guaranteed. No change to itinerary on revised booking e-mailed out by MSC or when I log into booking. A mistery.

I have looked at a travel agent site (think old vauxhall car)

They have the cruise departing from Valletta on 12th and Barcelona on 18th, 2 other agents in the Manchester area both have your cruise on 16th.
