Fun times for 5 day Bahamas cruise on Paradise and opinions

Hi All,

 

going on Paradise in January for a 5 day Bahamas cruise. Couldn’t resist the excellent rate. So happy to get back to cruising after the past few years.

 

I know Paradise is an older gal and if you read reviews, it scares you to think you are spending your time and money on her. Please, any favorable recent experiences?  Any copies of the Fun Times for this particular ship and itinerary?

I sailed on the Paradise pre-pandemic to Cuba and we had a wonderful time! The ship never felt crowded at all! Easy to get around! And the service was great (of course, that was 3 years ago! 😁). While it is an older ship and she doesn't have the bells and whistles that the newer ships have - we found that we didn't really feel like we were missing out on anything! The ship had the Red Frog Tiki Bar/Blue Iguana Bar/Guy's Burgers and Blue Iguana Taco stand. The casino was great and not overly smoky. We did Chef's Table one evening and it was great! 

 

We booked that cruise mainly for the Cuba itinerary and it had been over a decade since I'd been on a Fantasy Class ship. But we had a blast!

I’d love to see copies of the Fun Times (I have to correct myself every time I think of them as the Carnival capers)

Just returned from Paradise last week. I noticed some interior upgrades. Carpet and public restrooms. Also the blue on the hull looks great. No obvious wear areas, but we dont look hard. She was clean and the entire crew was fantastic! Best emb/debark we can recall. 

 

I would say it would be a great cruise
