Not sure if they’ll ask for it later, or if they know we did it because I added our reservation/stateroom number to our application. Guess we’ll see! The only place I've ever been asked for mine (I've done 5 now) was getting on a plane to Vancouver in San Francisco.
Rare theopup Posted August 19, 2022 #77 Share Posted August 19, 2022 Getting back to the question about your Seattle hotel. We are from Vancouver and love visiting Seattle. One of our favourite hotels is Hotel Andra. https://hotelandra.com/ We however have not been there for a few years with COVID and all, and also do not know how there current rates or service is. It is close to many nice restaurants, and shopping, and wouldn’t be too far to the cruise terminal
misha1 Posted August 19, 2022 #78 Share Posted August 19, 2022 We are embarking in a couple of weeks. The Skagway tendering concerns me in that we are booked on the 'Best of Skagway' tour through Celebrity. DH uses a walker, but for distance needs a mobility scooter, which we know is not allowed on the tender. If you could please, approximate the walking distance from where the tenders drop off to the Train? Do they have golf carts transporting the less agile? Thanks in advance. techteach Posted August 19, 2022 #79 Share Posted August 19, 2022 Drop off took about 15 minutes, lots of cars, and lots of luggage. Disneyland lines, but they moved quickly. Everyone is super friendly. 3 minutes until Ovation of the Seas should sound her horn. She usually embarks first and we follow her. There goes her horn. We are moving!
Rare aring75 Posted August 19, 2022 Author #80 Share Posted August 19, 2022 So the day started off gray and gloomy, but it was downright pleasant by sail away! Goodbye Seattle! See you in a week.

It’s an extra dollar (plus tip) but I’m willing to make the sacrifice. Again, you’re welcome. My husband had several of the 25th Anniversary martinis a couple of weeks ago. He never got an extra charge (though he was also a regular cash tipper). YMMV... enjoy!

Rare aring75 Posted August 20, 2022 Author #86 Share Posted August 20, 2022 We have early dining which means we eat at 6:00pm. We are at a table for two at the absolute farthest corner from the entry doors. We are seated next to a fun couple from South Carolina and dinner was a blast. Tonight’s menu And posted at the entry to the Deck 3 dining room. 4

Rare aring75 Posted August 20, 2022 Author #88 Share Posted August 20, 2022 Entrees. I had the beef stroganoff. It was better than I expected. And Mark had the salmon. He said it was cooked just right. The stroganoff had pieces of pickled cabbage that were delicious. Really. So good. Mark would have like more broccoli, but the salmon was cooked perfectly.
Rare aring75 Posted August 20, 2022 Author #89 Share Posted August 20, 2022 Dessert!! The Sacher Torte. Mark had the mango sorbet. It was not interesting enough to warrant a photo. Mark really needs to step up his dessert game if he’s going to hang with me. He has been warned. 4
Rare aring75 Posted August 20, 2022 Author #90 Share Posted August 20, 2022 Stopped by the Martini bar again after dinner. It was SO busy. Tons of fun though. Mark had another Captain & Coke. (If it ain’t broke…) I tried the 25th Anniversary Martini. It was good, but just a little sweeter than I like. The strawberry purée was a nice touch!
Rare aring75 Posted August 20, 2022 Author #91 Share Posted August 20, 2022 We were going to go to the 9:00pm show. Tonight it is a comedian. But we finished our drinks and it was already 9:25. We decided to head back to the cabin to chill for tonight. Tomorrow is our first sea day. We are looking forward to relaxing and exploring the ship! 😁 Nighty-night everyone! P.S. Don’t forget to grab a couple of bottles of water at the end of the evening to take back to the cabin. The mini-bar is not included in the regular classic/premium package. Now you “Drinks & More” people? You guys go crazy.

Julie Just got back today from this cruise. The walking distance from the tender port to the train is about the same, if not lesser than the aft-railroad dock. There is a ramp that takes you (climb up) from the tender port to the train station. I didn't see any golf carts. If you are on an excursion with Celebrity, they tell you where and when to assemble ( for us it was in the theater) and then you will be escorted to the tender.
