Plat/Diamond party?

When I went in April, I dont remember getting an invitaion, I assumed that because of covid they had paused it. But I have seen some conversations about it, just curious since I leave in 2 weeks on Mardis Gras.

Yes, you will get invitations, got one a few days ago while on Spirit and also on my previous cruises since Sept.

 

You don’t need the invitation cards to get in, just show your Sail & Sign card if they ask.

Yes, but the P/D party on Mardi Gras is not the same as on other ships because the theater has no bar inside it. Instead of servers walking around with trays of drinks, they offer you a glass of wine on your way in. We've skipped it on our MG cruises but are looking forward to attending it on future cruises on other ships.

They did put a pause on the platinum / diamond party around that time due  to lack of staff, and gave either drinks on your card or OBC for diamond  members to make up for it however it started back up about a month ago .

When you get your free drink coupon for brunch does it count against your 15 if you have the Cheers package?

We had a P/D party on our Magic sailing out of NYC on August 3. We had servers walking around with drinks, and they were plentiful.

Yes, so the free drink coupon means nothing if you bought Cheers

It's 45 minutes long on the last day about 415-500, just when most people are packing or getting ready for dinner.  Not like to used to be back in the day 10 years ago, now a waste of time, IMHO.

It's been so long since I have redeemed one I forget if you name is on it or if it's generic.  If no name, then yes you could, otherwise if your name is on it and u have Cheers, it's worthless.

There is no coupon, it's just loaded on your S&S.

We don't get the Cheers thingy as we have "free" drinks from the casino so for us it is a free drink😀.

We usually spend around $100-150 in drinks outside the casino so it's really not worth it to us.
