planefring1 Posted August 21, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 21, 2022 We completed our EMED COVID test. a negative letter was emailed. However, another barcoded negative test result was also available from the EMED app. So, does it make a difference which version is used? Thank you. To be on the safe side, I’d take both. They check your name, DOB, and match that to your Passport and reservation. I have never seen them scan a bar code, however. I’ve taken 3 Celebrity Cruises, 1 Royal Cruise, and 2 NCL cruises since the start up 19 months ago. Haven’t seen anyone scan a bar code, just checked the negative testing info. They all did it the same. Edited August 21, 2022 by graphicguy

The pdf file emailed to you with the lab information signed.
Sue Do-Over Posted August 22, 2022 #4 Share Posted August 22, 2022 In Rome/Civit in June, we showed the barcode/QR code in the eMed app as the first step in the boarding process. She glanced at boarding document, passport and app and waved us through to security, which is before the check-in desk where they actually look at passport and did a temperature check. We were surprised that the temp check was at the final desk, and not at that first COVID check station.
