Recommendations for Chinatown in San Francisco

Other than just walking around and eating does anyone have any recommendations for things to see or do in San Francisco's Chinatown?  Thanks in advance.

I always recommend a walking tour of Chinatown for visitors:  https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g60713-d447045-Reviews-All_About_Chinatown_Tours-San_Francisco_California.html.  The tour visits a Chinese fortune cookie bakery, tofu store, herbal medicine store and a tea shop as well as historical information about the area.

 

Try to book the lunch with the tour—great dim sum!

We used Wild SF Tours several years ago and they were great.  It looks like their offerings have changed since we went so I can't vouch for the current tours.  But I see the same people are working there so it can't be to bad.

If you Google "San Francisco Chinatown self guided walking tour" you will get links for self guided tours and also a couple of guided walking tours. I've never done either, since I've spent enough time in Chinatown to not need either.
