How does Casino Freeplay work?

We have some Casino Freeplay on an upcoming cruise. It will be our first post-covid cruise, and we have not had any Casino Freeplay on our previous cruises (although we do play the slots in the casino almost nightly). We don't understand how it works. We only play the slot machines. After we log in to our casino account on a slot machine, I assume our "bank" will show our Freeplay. Will we be able to receive any cash (winnings) from our Freeplay? Should we cash out every day we play, or should we wait until we have played all of our Freeplay? Will we be able to tell what amount in our "bank" is Freeplay and what amount is cash or winnings? Any help would be appreciated.

We went to the cage and they asked if I wanted my freeplay in slots or at the tables. I said the slots and the freeplay goes into somewhat of a second bank.

For isntance, if I had $100 of freeplay, loaded $10 of my freeplay into the machine, bet $1 and profited $.60 from that one spin, my accounts would be as follows....

$90 in my freeplay "bank"
$9.60 on the machine

If I were to "cash out" the following would occur.

$9 of the money on the machine goes back into the freeplay "bank"
$.60 goes into my "bank".

So the accounts would then be
$99 in freeplay "bank"
$.60 in my "bank"

 bronzey 214  gave  great  explanation.

You  do  not accumulation points on  pure  freeplay  money.

Your  account  will  show  availabe free play  moneyt  and money  in  your  bank.

Enjoy  your  freeplay.

I  usually cash  out to  real  bank when  I  win something and  save that  to  play later  and  build  points.

Make sure the free play on the machine matches the free play that is in the Cruise Personalizer, AND take along a hard copy of the documentation just in case it doesn't (Travel Summary from the Cruise Personalizer or Special Services Summary from Princess).

I handle my free play a little differently.  Let's say I have $200 in free play showing in my bank.  I will download $20 or $30 to the machine - whatever I would play when I play real money.  You'll know when that is gone as you'll start earning points again.  If I've won and I like the machine, I keep playing.  Or I just cash out and move on to another machine.  The cash goes into your regular bank.  Then I repeat at another machine.  I use all of my free play before I start using real $$.
