howiefrommd Posted September 2, 2022 #1 Share Posted September 2, 2022 We are on Voyager which will be ending in Monte Carlo. We are spending the night in Nice and catching a flight out the next day. Does anyone have any suggestions for maybe a tour service that could pick us up at ship, provide a tour of Monte Carlo and Nice and drop us off at Hotel at end? Conversely, can anyone suggest a tour of Nice? Thanks, Howie
Wendy The Wanderer Posted September 2, 2022 #2 Share Posted September 2, 2022 Have you looked at the port-specific forum here on CC? They are the spot to find the best information on private tours, I find. In your case it's this forum: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/462-france-ports/
Guerncruising Posted September 2, 2022 #3 Share Posted September 2, 2022 To be honest you could spend time in Monte Carlo in the Japanese gardens and just seeing all that there is to do there. Walk up to the old town for lunch rather than eat too close to the marina where it can be very expensive. Catch the train or bus from Nice to Monte Carlo because it’s a reasonable price. abe froman iii Posted September 3, 2022 #4 Share Posted September 3, 2022 We went the opposite direction, from Nice to Monte Carlo, with a private tour guide. We started at St-Paul-de-Vence, scenic viewing of Cap-Ferrat, Eze, and ending with Voyager in Monte Carlo. You can do the same in reverse. Although you would overshoot Nice to see St-Paul-de-Vence, I liked that town best. It's a little bit artsy-fartsy, but then so am I. You can even visit Marc Chagall there! In Nice, we greatly enjoyed Oliviera, in Vieux Nice (Old Town) for dinner:https://oliviera.com/
