Joy: No more $50 obc for not having the free Behind the Scenes tour for Platinums and above

I'm currently on the Joy.

 

Since cruise restart (Aug 2021), CruiseNext on any ship used to give $50 obc because there were no longer the Tour, or free wine tasting for Platinums and above.

 

On the Joy, they now have wine tasting and a mixology class (both free to Platinums and above).

Note: Still no free Behind the Scenes Tour

 

Unfortunately for me, the times for those 2 events conflict with the cruise critic meet and greet. :(

 

Oh well...

Wine tasting yes.  According to NCL.com, you have to be diamond to get the mixology class.  Is that incorrect?

Yeah, same story on the Breakaway. Cruise Next said that since they were offering the latitudes party, wine tasking, and mixology, they did not owe us any additional compensation for not having the BTS tour and dinner with officers.

Mixology seminar:

It was about the 'Sail and Sustain' eco-friendly alcoholic drinks.

The seminar was held at the Sugarcane bar (deck) but outside on the deck.
(CruiseNext did not mention that but the workers inside showed us where)

 

Very informative.

There were 8 flights.

i hated the Pulp Art but liked the Cool Cucumber and Pineapple Surplus drinks.

On the Star last week we received $50 stateroom credit, but you had to go the CruiseNext desk to get it.
