Getting a life jacket for child

Do I need to contact the cruise line prior to the day we sail to get a life jacket for my 5 year old? If not, who do I need to ask on ship for the jacket? Thanks.

It will be in your cabin when you board.

Yes, it should be in your cabin. If it isn't, your cabin steward will get it for you. Not a problem.

If there is not one in your room when you get there (they usually put them on the bed so you are ready for the muster drill) just ask your cabin steward, or call the cabin steward number from your phone and request one. They will make sure you have one for the muster drill.....

Thanks everyone. I was hoping that the ship would take care of it. That will be one less thing we have to worry about.

Don't worry about your life jackets, they are in your stateroom. In the event there is an emergency they don't want you going back to your room to get the life jackets. Just report to your muster station were you and your children will be issued a life jacket prior to boarding the life boats.

They even have life jackets for infants. They look like little papoose carriers. It is great that the safety of all their passengers is such a priority for the cruise lines.

We were very impressed by the children's safety program, even though we don't have kids. Your kids will wear a bracelet all week which will help hem help your children and find you, in the case of an emergency. This is brilliant, in my opnion.
