Ovation Norway Fjords June July or August

I’m considering a 14 day and the cruises offered are in each of these months. Would like to hear if there is a “best month” (ie less very cold, rainy) I’d prefer June but would go with another if appreciable weather difference. Thanks for feedback.

I’ve gone in late June to mid July twice and recently on the ovation from mid to late august.  Weather is always a crapshoot so it’s hard to predict.  We were very lucky weather wise on all 3 trips with mostly mild and sunny weather and little rain…we even lucked out at the North cape this past august with a clear view and temps in the 50’sF.  In early to mid July in 2018, there were record breaking temps in several on the ports, not the north cape or Tromso…hence, there is no best time as all are good times and you can’t predict the weather…go for it.

I would echo nancygp's answer - don't know that there's a hard and fast rule.  Our Scandinavian cruise was also late June to mid-July, and we had great weather - I mean, even in the best of circumstances there can always be the occasional less-than-ideal situation, but nothing to cry about.  Hope you get into Trollfjord, just spectacular!

June. We’ve always had the best weather that time of the year, there’s maximum daylight and it’s just before the peak of the European school holidays.
