Alta, Norway port Taxis?

Does anyone know if there are taxis meeting the cruise ships in Alta, Norway?  We are trying to book some tours that do not provide transportation to the site.  One tour runs from 8pm until 10:30pm and I want to make sure that we have transportation before we schedule. The only company I can find is Alta Taxis and so far it has not been too easy to get information from their site. Thank you.

You can book a taxi in advance from taxi web or app.

Thank you, I did know about Alta taxi but some reviewers said that they are unreliable.  Do you have experience with them?

I have not used Alta Taxi, but as I see it, it is a company with a fair reputation.
For a company that offers 24/7 taxi services, you will always be able to find an unhappy customer. I wouldn't be nervous about booking from them. Use their App.

 

The number of taxis in Alta is very limited. Also check the price for the trip you want.

There is also a relativly cheap public bus which brings you to city center Alta and sometimes also further to Alta Museum
