complimentary essentials

Funny how your memory can go out the window when you need it. We are leaving on the Sensation on May 29, and as far as essentials go, they provide the liquid soap and shampoo in the shower, and don't they have a package of goodies in the bathroom like toothpaste and the such? What all do they include?

My motto is if they provide it, it's one less thing I have to pack!

They have a little basket with trial size stuff. Not enough, IMHO, to get through a 7 day cruise. We had a couple of different shampoo and conditioner packets, razors, antacid, etc.
The bodywash in the shower was too antiseptic smelling for my taste. I usually go to Wal-Mart and get trial sizes of what I need, toothpaste, bodywash and shampoo. They are small and don't take up much room.

I have to agree the soap in the shower was not that good we always make sure we have nice smelling shower gel with us..and if you use conditioner regular in your hair..be sure to bring lots as the salty air and sun can be brutal. And make sure you seal all your stuff in zip lock bags just incase of leakage or breakage of their containers. In our Sensation cabin, the goodies were in a basket but the shampoo and conditioner were in a wall-mounted dispenser, and replenished by the cabin steward as necessary. It seemed like adequate stuff to me but I'm sure I have a typical guy attitude toward toiletries in general.

I don't think it is necessarily a guy attitude. I guess I am trying to think from a minimalist standpoint. The 2 cruises I have been on I have felt like I have too much stuff and no need to bring what is already there.

I took a look at the photo of the basket and it confirms that it varies and changes. The baskets we had were very different from that one.
