NCL Covid test to Board Ship

I am sailing from Sydney next March. The NCL country specific information page states that I have to provide a negative antigen covid test taken within 24hrs of embarkation. I was told by someone on another CC forum that this could be a picture of an unsupervised test. Someone else told me they called NCl and it had to be a supervised test.

Can anyone that is currently on or has recently sailed on NCL tell me what they provided. TIA

NCL don't currently have any ships sailing here as far as I can tell. They won't have one sailing from Australia until late December so no-one would have any experience of what NCL specifically requires when sailing from Australia until then.

Thanks @LittleFish1976 You also responded to my other posts on this topic and I appreciate the help. Didn't realize NCL hadn't started cruising from Australia yet. Hopefully this requirement will change.

@LittleFish1976 I just checked the Princess Cruise site and they too require a covid test to board however they are clear to say an unsupervised test is acceptable. I will follow up with the NCL cruises in December. Thanks again for your responses to my posts.

Princess has been quite clear all along on what they require - an unsupervised RAT test within 24 hours of sailing. An additional requirement has been added recently. Now we have to photograph the test strip with a clock or phone that shows the time of the test.

 

Princess and P&O are following the protocols agreed with the state governments prior to the re-starting of cruising. It is likely that NCL will have the same requirements for its passengers.
