African cruise

We are booked on a January 14 cruise around Africa.  A bit worried about using NCL air which we have never done.  But the fact is that it would cost us at least $1500 extra not to use it.  Has anyone been flown to Cape Town, South Africa by NCL? We are leaving from Chicago.

We’re getting ready to board the Jade for our 38day B2B where we fly back from Cape Town on a flight booked through NCL Air. I just opened a Live From thread to cover our cruise and in it I explain our experience after they ticketed our flight. 
 

Basically, we will not book through NCL Air again if we are flying internationally in either direction, even if the flights are super cheap. But then we’re old and can afford the extra cost to make sure we can sit together.

We are using NCL air for our upcoming Dubai to Cape Town cruise and are very happy with our flights and the price savings. Our only concern is that our connecting times in Boston and London are both under 2 hours, so praying that we don’t have any flight delays. We even got upgraded seats on our return flights.
