Amber Cove - Taxi rate Outside of the complex??

Hey

does anyone recall or know the taxi rate from amber cove to puerto plata OUTSIDE of the complex. I see the fixed official fares are $35each way. But seeing as we were meant to dock in PP and now AC, this is an additional expense we didn’t budget for (currently on ship)

 

also, does anyone recall if people were open to sharing taxis into PP?

We were just there last week.....11/30/22.

 

We walked outside the gate to meet our tour (excellent, BTW, RV Tours. https://www.rvtours.info/2017/01/puerto-plata-city-tour.html)

 

There were taxis and other tour companies there.  

 

Given the price we paid for an independent tour from RV Tours (very reasonable, IMO), you may want to reach out to them to pre-arrange your taxi/tour.

No. What's more is that NCL 'elected' to port at Taino Bay without properly notifying everyone. It took us time to figure out where we were and that we could walk to were we wanted to go anyway.
