New Year's Eve Embarkation Dining

We will be boarding the Vista on Saturday, December 31st. On our past cruises, New Year's Eve was always a formal night. Will that be the case with this one, even though it's the first night onboard?

On our past NYE cruises, NYE was "elegant" night, even when it was the boarding day.  

 

We are boarding the MG on NYE this year, and I expect it to be "elegant" night.

this surprises me--   almost every cruise we never got our luggage before 5pm

I board the magic on the 31st as well, not really going to be time to dress up with boarding and sail away ext. Will be fun regardless though and looking forward to it.

We are also on the MG on NYE cruise and was trying to figure the same thing . Our formal wear will not fit in our carry on.
