Cape Liberty in May 23

I'm looking at a 15 day itinerary from Cape Liberty to Portugal and Rome on Enchantment. Leaves end of April through Mid May. What type of weather should I be expecting ?

We sailed from Cape Liberty to Southampton last May 2 and the weather was uneventful. We've had the great good fortune of having the ocean like glass on all five transatlantics in the spring. Of course, a storm can happen but we have been fortunate. Our worst weather in that region has been on fall transatlantics in the Mediterranean. Just this past November, 2022, we missed Florence because of high winds and the rain storm in Naples was so violent that it closed the train system. Some folks who took the train to Pompeii had a very expensive taxi ride back to port. My worst experience was a Medicane (hurricane in the Med) in 2019. We missed Crete and had a wild day riding through the Straits of Messina with the dining areas and buffet and the elevators closed for a while.

Do you recall what the temperatures were like ?

You will be taking a more southern route so you should see smooth seas and moderate temperatures…well at least an 80% possibility…lol.
