rbslos18 Posted December 6, 2022 #1 Share Posted December 6, 2022 (edited) When doing a pre-cruise extension (Madrid), is one required to use Viking Air? If not, does Viking still provide a transfer to the hotel? Thanks Edited December 6, 2022 by rbslos18
Rare molymoo Posted December 6, 2022 #2 Share Posted December 6, 2022 I don't believe you are ever "required" to use Viking Air. I have heard that you can "purchase" transfer services but I think the opportunities are limited.

For example the description of our pre cruise extension in Athens coming up says: ALL THIS IS INCLUDED: 2 hotel nights in Athens 2 meals: 2 breakfasts Services of a Viking Host All transfers

Since we were spending a couple of weeks in UK, we booked our own flights to Madrid. We had to advise Viking, as they would still pick us up at the airport, as per the Pax Statement. Siammau Posted December 6, 2022 #5 Share Posted December 6, 2022 We have purchased an extension for a cruise starting in London. Flying from Australia to Heathrow, there are limited options for flights available. We purchased our own flights. When talking to Viking, they stated as we land at 5am, the will not honour transfers as it is too early in the morning.
