Westiesheepie Posted December 6, 2022 #1 Share Posted December 6, 2022 Have previously sailed Azamara and Seabourn and looking for a quick winter getaway on Riviera in the Caribbean to try Oceania. I have a choice between a veranda on Deck 7 or 8. Does it matter which deck? What about the aft cabins? Thanks!
Rare LHT28 Posted December 6, 2022 #2 Share Posted December 6, 2022 All the B cabins are the same size there are some on deck 7 that have extended balconies on the O class ships (Marina & Riviera) All the food venues are available to all It is a personal choice if you like forward/aft or mid ship cabin locations

Front has more movement and there is a crew access that has a lot of traffic in the far DECK 7 forward port side.

You might study the deck plans for Riviera and take into account the price differences between the various types of verandas (A1-4 and B1-4). Personally, I'd avoid rooms with adjoining doors and those cabins directly across from the elevators. See also rooms with or without the triple w/sofa bed. IF, however, you did end up doing a Concierge Veranda (A1-4), note the Concierge Lounge on Riviera Deck 9 is forward, so if you plan on using it, being forward means a quicker trip from aft on that deck. The laundry facilities on decks 7 & 8 are forward, too. Edited December 7, 2022 by MEFIowa Added a clarifying comment
