Carry on luggage

What is the process with carry on luggage when boarding?  Can it be dropped in the cabin or do you keep it with you until cabin is ready?

You can not go the the cabin decks until they call your level of suite. You keep it with you in the public areas(we did) or it seemed that you could check it in an holding area. We just sat in the Coffee Connection until until our level was called about 2 on the Splendor out of Miami last week. Let the porters have as much as you can. It come on and is delivered fast.

We always go to pool deck with our carry on.  We sit around pool grill, have a drink, eat some food…start our vacation.  When they announce suites ready we just sit and let others go ahead.

You can check it at guest services so you don't have to walk around with it until your room is ready. This was our experience in our past Regent cruises (pre-Covid).

We take the smallest carry-on wheelie we can, with prescriptions, electronic devices , jewelry - things we cannot be without.  We keep it with us while we have a light lunch and relax by the pool.  You can’t access your cabin until the announcement is make for you deck.  It’s not a problem.  Everyone else is doing the same.  Once you are on a lounge chair with a tropical drink you shouldn’t  mind at all.

One more question. If we arrive earlier than our scheduled time, will we have to wait?

Maybe, depends on just how many people are there with right Check in time. Kind of take your chance, you may get right on or you may have to wait behind others with the right time.
